Infinity Cube: Fidget Spinner v2.0?

You know that feeling when you're constantly squeezing something in your hand, clicking a pen, or playing with your keys? We have a solution that's much more stylish and, best of all – you have to build it yourself! The Infinity Cube is a mechanical puzzle that you can fold and unfold over and over again, and you'll never reach the end.

It's the ideal companion for studying, watching TV, or just for the joy of movement.

Warning: Folding is highly addictive!

What Will We Need?

To make the cube move like butter, we'll need a combination of solid beams and special parts. The model uses our new "U" parts and rounded beams that you won't find in other models.

Parts List
Part Description Quantity Material
pin-2 Classic pin (size 2) 8x PETG
shaft-2-ds Shaft with "fork" on the ends 16x PETG
bb-b-2-r Rounded beam (size 2) 8x PLA
bb-u-2x2-tr-shaft Special "U" part with hole for shaft 16x PLA

Tip for printers: For shafts and pins, we recommend PETG due to its flexibility and durability. Colored parts made of PLA or other materials will add that perfect touch to the cube!

Technical Parameters

The cube is designed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. Its dimensions change depending on how you twist it.

Basic technical specifications of the cube

Width 32 mm to 64 mm
Height 16 mm to 32 mm
Depth 32 mm
Endurance Until your hands start to hurt
Max. fun duration As long as it entertains you (so forever)

How to Do It?

The build isn't complicated, but it requires some concentration to ensure all the joints move in the right direction. If you assemble the cube incorrectly, it won't want to flip – and that would be boring!

Documentation for Download

On Printables, you'll also find ready-made print plates (3MF), so you just need to send them to the printer and you can start clicking in a moment.

Want to Build Something Else?

If you've already mastered the cube and your hands don't hurt yet, how about trying our mechanical gripper? It has a few more parts, but the feeling when you grab something is priceless!
